He had a wonderful birthday, but he especially enjoyed the Mickey Mouse birthday party. I had a lot of fun planning this for him. The first thing I did to get ready for the party was make these Mickey Mouse invitations. He loved it, and every time I worked on it, he yelled, “Mickey Mouse! My bithsday is coming soon!” He was so excited! I just liked it.
Free Mickey Mouse Digital Invitation
1. Google Mickey head template and choose your favorite. I used this one. Copy and paste it into a Word document, make it the right size, and print it out. (Printing it on white cardstock will make it easier to trace.) Cut it out, trace it on black cardstock, and cut it out. Continue until you have as many as you need.
2. Using Word, enter the text, format it in the desired format and print it on white cardboard. To help me fit the words neatly into the circle, I went to “Insert” then “Shapes” and added the circle, made it the right size, and typed the words into the circle. I put 2 sides. For the words Hot Dog and Mickey Mouse Party, I used the Minnie font, which you can download for free here. For the second font, I used Cinnamon Cake, which you can also download for free here.
Once printed, cut out the circles and use glue to attach them to Mickey’s black head.
3. To make the pocket for the invitations (Mickey’s shorts), draw a half circle slightly larger than the bottom of Mickey’s head. If you’re good at freehand drawing, you can trace it, if you’re like me and can’t draw freehand, you can find something nearby, like a bowl of cereal, and use that to help you trace. Then cut it out and use that piece to trace the rest. You need 2 per invitation. And I was able to track 3 on the page.

4. Once all your red half circles are cut out, smear the outside with glue as shown in the picture and place another half circle on top and let it dry. Continue with all the half circles until you’re done.
5. To make the button, I used scraps of white cardboard that I used for invitations. Using my 1″ circle cutter and this other cutter to make the cuts. If you don’t have a round cutter, you can either trace the circles or print out the circles and cut them out. And you can just use a thin black marker to make buttonholes or slits.
6. Glue the paper circles to the red pocket. If you want to use real buttons, use the white ones and use the dots of glue to attach them to the pockets.
If you need to make a Minnie Mouse invitation, it’s pretty much the same with a few changes. My cousin made this adorable birthday invitation for my little girl Minnie Mouse.
