Animal Report Template
What? Do you have a child who loves learning about animals but may struggle with writing? If so, then writing a report about their favorite animal can be a great way to get them out of their writing funk and get them to enjoy writing. These free animal report templates and templates can help them organize their ideas for fun writing assignments.
Newspaper Report Template
I have two daughters with learning difficulties. She is also an amazing animal lover and seeks out all the information and facts about animals that she can.
My favorite part of homeschooling is how we can tailor the learning experience to our children’s interests and what is important to them. If you have an animal lover who struggles with reading and writing, try researching and writing a report about your favorite animal.
You may notice that your children are very interested in what they are learning and want to share it in their reports. While working on the report, they don’t realize that they are doing “school” and real learning! It’s a great alternative to textbooks and works for struggling students who don’t like to be “pushed”.
Your students will likely cover the basics of each animal individually in their report, but here are some topics your child can write about:

Those are just some of the basic ideas – you can take them wherever you want when writing a report about animals.
Obviously you don’t have the opportunity to travel around the world watching animals live in their habitat, but that doesn’t mean you should miss it! Watching animals through live animal cameras is a fun way to see the daily life of animals.

How To Write An Animal Report With Kids In 7 Simple Steps
Individual bookmarks can be assigned to students. Bookmarks show the seven steps of the report writing process. Bookmarks are offered in color and black and white.
A one-page list of different animals is provided to help students decide on a topic for their animal report.
Bullet point templates are available in a variety of formats to support the individual needs of students. Templates can be used to search for one fact, two facts, or three facts. Templates include the following categories: appearance, habitat, life cycle, diet, predators, and interesting facts. Bullet point templates are provided for questions with and without support. Additionally, students can use the included template to write an “All About Me” page. The note template corresponds to the draft included and the final report template. Blank note templates are also included if you want to customize student categories.
There are three different design templates included in this resource pack. There is a half-page template for students to find just one fact about each category. A full page template is given to students who get two or three points. In addition, students who are ready to write a paragraph can use the third template. This template encourages students to write an introductory sentence and a concluding sentence, along with factual information collected in bulleted notes. Templates include basic lines and standard lines. A blank template is available if you choose to customize your pet report. Choose the option that best supports the students in your class.
