XVIII. PRIVATE PROPERTY. All roommates agree not to use or borrow the personal belongings of other roommates without the consent of the roommate who owns the property. Any exceptions to this rule will be clearly stated and agreed upon, and the roommate who owns the property reserves the right to change their mind about sharing their personal property. Any personal property borrowed should be used with respect and returned in the same condition. If any damage occurs to the roommate’s personal property, the roommate responsible for causing the damage shall compensate the roommate who owns the personal property for their loss.

XIX. DEPARTMENT. If any provision of this Agreement or its application is invalid or unenforceable for any reason and to any extent, that will not affect the remainder of this Agreement or the application of the provision to other persons, entities or circumstances, but will be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law.
