Countdown Calendar Template – One of the most exciting parts of the upcoming holidays is counting down the days until it’s over. I love sharing that excitement with my kids, and my favorite way is with a holiday countdown calendar. I started making my first counting calendar when my oldest son was little. We went for a family walk and I drew a huge boat on a wooden board. Each window showed a day until the holiday. Every day he drew a smiling face in one of the windows. It was so successful that I started making a calendar for each festival. Even though my kids are older now, everyone still likes to have a calendar.
This is a great way to get kids excited and excited about travel. I have created six different calendars using different numbering methods such as stickers, labels, stamps or colors and I am happy to share them with you.
Countdown Calendar Template
For best results, I recommend printing the calendars on white card stock (it’s sturdier and holds up better). Regular printer paper works too! Or layered for multiple uses.

This calendar is colorful and vibrant, we used bingo markers to create a beautiful black circle. Black marker also works great.
This calendar is Olivia’s favorite and I made it especially for her. Instead of spending holidays, every day is a happy day. I went over the calendar for her and used special markers so she can use it again and again.
A pastel calendar is great to use with stickers, which are more fun than markers. Scroll down and Olivia even decorated her calendar with diamond stickers all around.
The cloud calendar is my favorite and the clouds can be colored, cut out or labeled with stickers.

If we are usually used to counting numbers in a row, try counting further back, try counting from 100. Why? Lying down is recommended to pass very quickly.
Now that you are visualizing you can feel calm, peaceful and relaxed and slowly start counting to 100.

Lately I’ve had a few requests to make a blank calendar that people can use as a countdown to their upcoming Disney trip or cruise. I thought this was a great idea and I’m so honored that you all enjoy my design so much that you can make it part of your daily list! You know there are few things I love more than being close to a day of Disney travel! (Except in person, actually!)
So I designed something useful for a countdown calendar. After toying with a few ideas, I decided to make two. I couldn’t decide which idea I liked better. Also, I like the idea of seeing options.

The first design is a blank calendar titled “Our Disney Countdown”. I left the mickey heads blank, you can fill in a date or a number, but I kept Sunday-Saturday at the top of the design.
The second is a design for a blank calendar. I left Mickey’s head blank, but I also kept them on Sundays and Saturdays. The biggest difference is that there is a white block at the top to write each month. I’m still going to post my calendars each month, but if you’re going to be a few months ahead with your calendar, there’s another way to do it. The blank template allows you to fill in your personal calendar for any month of the year. I thought this might be a good option too!

I loved Christmas growing up and I love Christmas as a parent. It’s great to see our kids excited about all that the holidays have to offer. It’s a busy time of year, but the countdown to Christmas is always fun! This Christmas calendar printable is a fun alternative to our popular Advent calendar printables. As much as I love planning fun activities for the holidays, sometimes life gets in the way or our schedules just don’t allow it. This printable activity is a fun way to count down to Christmas without having to plan. Now that I have three kids I will be a mix of the two…start doing something, but enjoy making every day count.
